These works done in water are known as “Remembrance of the Shattered Dreams” was realized during 2013-present and have been widely published in art and fashion magazines around the world over the years.
From the depths of our hearts, we cherish many dreams. Over the years we have fulfilled some, and maybe we have missed some others. Looking back on my life, the dreams I cherish and remember the most are the broken dreams. They pushed me to the depths of pain and challenged my being but at the same time taught me how to endure the uttermost suffering, and showed me that the wound is where the light enters and that pain could actually be very pleasurable, if we learn how to accept it, and transform pain into an infinite source of strength. Every experience, no matter how horrible it might seem, holds a blessing of some kind. The goal is to find it.
The photographs of “Remembrance of the Shattered Dreams” capture an ephemeral moment, where emotions flow through time, pleasure and pain. As reality plays hide-and-seek with fantasy, the images reflect volatile moods recaptured from a permanent state of change.
The spirit of these images could also be literally painted in a verse:
“Wisdom tells me I am nothing.
Love tells me I am everything.
Between the two my life flows.”
