In this project the artist tried to paint a picture of the typical Vietnamese women in the most authentic and traditional atmosphere. The pictures were taken of Vietnamese women from both the North and the South of Vietnam at temples in different cities whose beauty is considered the most “Vietnamese beauty standard”.
Through these images, apart from drawing portraits of the women from Vietnam in the traditional-inspired dresses, Viet Ha wanted to sketch a glimpse of the history and culture of her country and that hidden oriental soul that she yearns for – something fragile, emotional, romantic, loving, sensitive and profound.
