What sparkled the idea of impressionism through the photographs of Ecosystem?
It was a hot summer day in August 2015 when I was walking around by myself with my heavy camera in the town of Aranjuez. As a photographer, I like traveling around with my camera to observe the beautiful things of nature and life. That summer day I felt like paying a visit by train from Madrid city where I live to the Royal Palace of Aranjuez in order collect some inspiration for my upcoming art photo projects in the rich history and romantic atmosphere of the palace. I specially like the Spanish summer since most cities are very empty because people go for summer vacation outside the country, so there are only tourists around. In smaller towns, it looks like the city is all yours and that silence and emptiness are good for nurturing an artist’s inspiration.

So on that day, I spent around two hours inside the quiet palace staring at the different beautiful frescos on the ceilings and at beautiful paintings and furniture in an attempt to memorize every single detail of decoration. After that I stepped outside to the royal garden, it was a windy sunny afternoon. The royal palace of Aranjuez is blessed with a wonderful green and enormous garden that stretches over a lake and you can see thousands of trees around and afar. Whilst my mind was traveling somewhere in the empty space of imagination, I was taken back to reality by the beauty of the lake, many parts of which were fully covered in green moss and the pink flowers that couldn’t stand the wind and fell from the many trees surrounding the lake onto the surface of the lake, creating an incredible romantic and picturesque view. The scene was like nothing I’d seen in my life, the different layers of moss, leaves, flowers all intertwined together created a magnificent painting of nature. As if nature had woven a beautiful late summer gown over the lake.
I guess it took the whole summer for that gown to be woven from the moss, flowers and the leaves.
My creativity was mesmerized and my curiosity was awakened by such a unique masterpiece of nature and I couldn’t resist from taking hundreds of pictures of the surface of the lake during several hours.
The photographs from that day got published on Vogue Italia, Conde Nast Traveler China and many other magazines around the world.
